The Divinely-inspired short-story that is the Book of Ruth is more than an account of human love. It is a cameo portrait of Christ, our Kinsman-Redeemer, and the love relationship Jehovah has matchmade with His elect bride. In fact, “Ruth” is a sequel to Eden, when God brought a bride to Adam. In contrast to that union marred by sin, however, the story of Boaz and Ruth is a romance of redemption. This little book, set in the context of the book of Judges, is a snapshot of sunshine against the dark background of personal immorality, social chaos, and religious infidelity. These four sermons were delivered to the congregation of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Calabash, North Carolina, in 2016.
